Conrad Richter (October 13, 1890 – October 30, 1968) the author of The Mountain on the Desert: A philosophical journey was a Pulitzer Prize winning American novelist whose lyrical work focuses on life along the American frontier.
Conrad Richter’s novel The Town won the 1951 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and his novel The Waters of Kronos the 1961 National Book Award for Fiction.
